Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt Classroom Training

Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt classroom training will be instructed by our Head of Consulting Services, Ed Welsh.

Ed Welsh Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt

Lean Six Sigma combines the most important improvement trends of our time, making work faster and more efficient (using Lean principles), as well as reducing the variation of the process and making work better (using Six Sigma methodology).

Six Sigma and Lean are approaches to reduce waste in any kind of business processes.  Lean is an approach that seeks to improve flow in the value stream and eliminate waste. Six Sigma uses a powerful framework (DMAIC) and statistical tools to uncover root causes to understand and reduce variation.

Typically, a Yellow Belt is a team member, solving problems under the direction of either the Green or Black Belt. For organizations, there is often a return on training investment of between 3 and 10 times from Yellow Belt projects which should then serve as an ongoing benefit as the YB continues to develop their skills by working on future initiatives.

Benefits

  • Learn and inspire a collective language for continuous improvement
  • Identify and reduce waste, shorten lead times and improve flow
  • Identify root causes and reduce the variation of the process
  • Improve customer satisfaction through improved performance
